Mount Vesuvius is widley known for the eruption in AD 79 that led to the burying and destruction of the Roman cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum. It’s estimated that 16.000 of lives died under the eruption while the volcano was turning the idyllic, overgrown scope into sand and ashes within only a few hours. Drive up to the Mount Vesuvius (last volcano still active in Europe), at the high of 1000 meters from where, if you wish, you can walk up to the crater to Mt. Vesuvius and enjoyd a breathtaking view of the Bay of Naples.
The excursion is free for children up to 3 years.
Time: 5 Hours approx.
