Villa Le Palme is a splendid luminous three-story antique villa facing the sun and the sea. It comfortably sleeps 12 adults in its 400 sq. m. (4300 square feet) featuring a private pool, spacious terraces, selected air conditioning, winter heating and WI-FI Internet access.
We are roughly 4 km (2.5 miles) from Maiori, where you will find a selection of restaurants, shops, the beach and our tourist port. The closest restaurant is just 800 meters (880 yards) away and the bus stop for the local line SITA (Amalfi – Salerno) is a mere few meters (feet) away. You can reach Villa Le Palme from the parking area along a short private walkway that cuts through the garden with no steps involved. Parking is free of charge inside the entrance gate.
The main feature of the villa situated up on a cliff is an authentic circular tower built more than a thousand years ago, which was used to warn the local people when pirate ships were approaching. The tower was renovated at the beginning of the 1900s to create the villa, and the other rooms were added later.
Today we find a wonderful terrace on top of the tower, linked to a smaller round terrace on top of a rocky ledge jutting out towards the sea. From up here you can see a stretch of the coast up to Amalfi and even as far as Capo di Conca Dei Marini, which has a similar antique lookout tower. You can see everyone and everything while you vaunt full privacy surrounded by a local pine forest. Directly below you lies a small bay which depending on the time of day and the sun can be a deep blue, emerald green or completely transparent - the true magic of this Swimming Pool.
The swimming pool with a sea view along the coast is 3 meters (10 feet) wide by 11 meters (36 feet) long. The swimming pool area is equipped with a table, chairs, sun loungers and a swing. There is a poolside bathroom complete with a washbasin, toilet and a shower. It is partly shaded by a pergola with a bamboo roof. The pool is open from mid-May until mid-October.
There are four terraces, three shaded one with a barbecue and one with an above ground heated Jacuzzi 2x2 mt. (6.5 x 6.4 ft), all three with sea views and plenty of seating areas to enjoy the view.
The first living room paved with shiny blue tiles is elegant and furnished with a mix of modern and antiques including a working fireplace and a dining table that comfortably seats 12. There is a mini-fridge and the room has an a/c/heating unit.
The kitchen is equipped with a five-burner gas stove, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave, an Italian-style coffee-maker, a toaster and other small appliances, a barbecue and a breakfast a table that seats 6.
There is a half-bath which doubles as a laundry room with a washing machine, iron and ironing board. You will be able to enter it from the corridor.
Bedroom 1 with en-suite bathroom. There is a corridor and independent entrance with a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). This bedroom has an a/c/heating unit and an en-suite bathroom with a shower stall.
Bedroom 2 - a pass-through bedroom. This bedroom is not private as you need to pass through to reach the first bedroom internally. It has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The bedroom has an a/c/heating unit but not its own bathroom.
Bedroom 3. This romantically furnished bedroom has a corridor entrance and hall bathroom with a tub. It has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed) and is equipped with an a/c/heating unit.
The second living room is paved with shiny green tiles and is also elegantly furnished with a mix of comfortable modern and antique pieces. It has a large panoramic window with a partial sea view and here too we can find an a/c/heating unit.
Bedroom 4. This bedroom is elegantly furnished and also has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). It has an a/c/heating unit and out in the hall it’s unique bathroom tucked into the cliff with a shower stall.
ANNEX
Living Room 3. This bright room is comfortable with its three sofas and armchair to lean back and watch your large satellite television with a DVD player or listen to some tunes on the CD player. This room is equipped with an a/c/heating unit and a half bath.
Bedroom 5 with en-suite bathroom. Hall entrance with a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed), an a/c/heating unit an en-suite bathroom with a fully enclosed shower.
Bedroom 6. Hall entrance with two twin beds (80 cm/32 inches), that can be pushed together into a matrimonial bed upon request. This bedroom is equipped with an a/c/heating unit and its bathroom with a fully enclosed shower is in the corridor.
