Villa Pasitea – Positano – Amalfi Coast
3 Double Bedrooms – Pool
Villa Pasitea in Positano is located in the centre town of Positano, the pearl of the Amalfi Coast famous "retreat" summer of celebrities and prominent managers from all over the world.
The villa, during the nineteenth century, was owned by the famous painter Francis Lord Mancini (Naples 1830-1905), one of the leading painters of the 'nineteenth-century in Naples.
Recently the house has been renovated by a local designer, with a touch of sophistication and a modern Italian Style, yet sober, with the idea of finding a balance between comfort and class, modern and classic. Amazing is the mix of the dominating white colour, mixed with ceiling vaults and large windows facing on the blue sea and the view of Fornillo beach!
There are two entrances, one near the stairs of Via Pasitea, the other lower down near the old church of St. John, restored in 1850, now open only on June 24, a day dedicated to San Giovanni.
Outside (350 sq. m.) the house, however, in the old courtyard where once there was the garden of the house, there is now an elegant infinity pool made of marble with spectacular play of light in the evening.
The villa (219 sq. m.) keeps the original shape as a huge "L" around a wonderful pool, it is built on two levels. The ground floor was used as a "living" divided into three major areas: the modern and fully equipped kitchen, a spacious lounge-bar-dining room with a long marble table with fridge and bar and sunny conservatory great place where you can relax reading a book or chilling a glass of wine. the "big L" house surrounds the pool, that is reflected on the big french windows of the ground floor. On the ground floor you can find also the "winter garden": now it is a beautiful living with white sofas with a terrific view at 180° of all the town, the beach, the coast, the garden and the pool. Beyond this room there is the kitchen garden with all the seasonal fruits and a garden with bouganvillea and lemon trees. Upstairs is the "night area" with three bedrooms: a double master bedroom with a large bathroom with Jacuzzi and separate walk-in closet, large terrace and stunning views on the beach "Fornillo". The terrace is equipped with chairs and and a talbe. The second room, adjacent to the master has also access to the terrace. It has an elegant en suite bath with marbles. The third room was the old studio of the famous painter, that now has been converted in a double bedroom with turkish bath, a bathroom and access to a terrace.
